Lucky for luck

Once again I've procrastinated on updating my blog and so much has happened I think I could write pages worth, but I will try to keep it to a minimum.

My husband is still a busy College student and I'm still a busy Mom, but I have to say that I'm a bit busier than I was a couple months ago (not as much time for Farmville, darnit). After not working since July of 2009 I decided it was time to find a job. I started applying for several jobs, most of them at the local hospital, and got called to attend several interviews. I  went to 4 interviews at the hospital (probably applied for at least 10 positions) and a few others at some local businesses. I wanted to work at the hospital so much more than the local businesses because I have always had an interest in health care. My senior year of High School I took a CNA course but never got around to actually getting certified because I moved back to Utah once I graduated. I felt like I did really well in a couple of my interviews at the hospital and felt very confident but once I didn't hear back I figured that it just wasn't my time. I then went to an interview at T-mobile that I knew I nailed and was totally going to get the job. I waited about 4 days and got a phone call. I turned to my husband before answering and said, "here's T-mobile calling for my second interview". I answered it and on the other line was a lady that informed me she was part of HR and IHC and I just about fainted before I had even heard what she was about to say, "we would like to offer you the job as Health Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Department", I about fainted again. I was so excited. I have always wanted to be a part of health care and to find out I was going to be working in the ER was such thrilling news. I have now been working for almost 2 weeks and I never thought I could love a job so much. Of course there is a lot to learn and a lot of pressure, but I know that once I learn it all I will be very proud of myself and feel like I'm making a difference. Being a part of IHC is such a wonderful opportunity and I am so lucky.

As far as my sweet little baby girl Lolah, she just keeps growing. It seems like I'm emptying her drawers frequently of the clothes that she has already outgrown. It amazes me how much she has already learned and the attitude she is already inheriting. She seems so big to me, but tonight when I was feeding her before I put her to bed I looked down at her tiny hands, tiny nose, and tiny big eyes and realized that she is still just a little baby. She was grasping my index finger as she has since she was a newborn, and it reminded me how precious time is. Being a Mom is such a wonderful gift and I'm so blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Since I've been working me and my husband coordinate our schedules so one of us can watch her and I just have to say that my husband spoils me. He not only takes care of Lolah but he helps around the house, cooks dinner, and still accomplishes his school work. He is such  a wonderful, wonderful man.

Sometimes people ask me why I believe in God and the best answer I can give them is that he answers my prayers. I feel so lucky and thankful for my life. Of course I have my days (don't we all) but when the day is done and I lie in bed I realize that the good things in my life out weigh the bad. I think this is important when were having a cruddy day, to just sit down and think about all the wonderful blessings in our life.

To end this note, I can't wait to celebrate my Birthday on Thursday with my baby girl and husband and I hope you all have a wonderful month because March is the best ;) TTFN!
